Job Description

The Assembler II is responsible for assembling high-quality medical devices according to established quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. 

Job Duties

  • Assemble, inspect, and test medical devices accordingly to manufacturing process.
  • Follow work instructions provided by Leads and Supervisors on priorities, work schedules, and special assignments. 
  • Work on one or multiple product lines as directed. 
  • Accurately record information on device history records per good documentation process. 
  • Expand knowledge through cross-training on multiple product lines as directed by Leads and Supervisors. 
  • Proactively incorporate LEAN principles to help improve established metrics. 
  • Informs Assembler Lead or Supervisor of material shortages. 
  • Perform quality checks on products for defects. 
  • Verify the accuracy of components before assembly. 
  • Operate manufacturing and measurement equipment such as microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, induction welders, soldering irons, dial calilipers, pressure gages, and rulers when applicable.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following and practicing good housekeeping and safety guidelines/policies. 
  • Maintains confidentiality of documents and processes. 
  • All other Essential Duties as directed. 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous medical device assembly experience.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions in English. 
  • Ability to adapt to changes in procedures and able to learn new procedures due to product line and technology modifications.
  • Ability to use basic mathematical skills as required to perform job duties. (Add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Must be able to work in a clean room environment and follow the clean room environment practices and procedures.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive work according to set procedures, sequence, and pace.
  • Must have fine motor skills and a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination to work with and assemble small parts and subassemblies using both hands. 
  • Must be able to effectively operate manufacturing and measurement equipment. 
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office tools and site-specific PC programs as required to perform job duties. 
  • Must be able to work 10-hour shifts Mondays through Thursdays and overtime on Friday.
