Job Description

OBJECTIVE:

A Door and Window Salesperson is to provide GREAT customer service and consistently maintain a professional approach and pleasant shopping experience. To efficiently and profitably estimate, price, order, and invoice all door and window products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all door & window products available.
• Thoroughly assess the client's need to recommend products and guarantee accuracy.
• Provide estimates and pricing for all projects in a timely fashion.
• Look for new products that will meet our quality standards.
• Maintain appropriate GP% on all orders while staying competitive in the market.
• Answer phone calls and help walk-in customers as quickly as possible.
• Respond to customer communication in a timely manner.
• Maintain a suitable appearance and keep the office tidy for walk-in customers.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and beautiful showroom.
• Develop and maintain computer skills to efficiently use vendor software programs.
• Work with customers to ensure products are delivered or picked up promptly.
• Use your viewers daily to stay on top of all your orders and delivery dates.
• Follow company policies on getting deposits for orders.
• Contact manufacturers for service requests.
• Maintain efficient organization of customer files.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sit/stand for 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
• Horizontal reaching is required.
• All mobility motions are required (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing).
• Limited range of motion and physical activity occurring randomly for 8 or more hours per day.

Ashby Lumber serves the entire Bay Area from locations in Berkeley and Concord. We supply contractors and homeowners with everything needed for residential and commercial remodeling, rebuilding, and renovation such as lumber, tools and hardware, doors, windows, paint, faucets, sinks, and toilets.
