Job Description
We are actively looking for an experienced and organized Field Manager with a background in Multi-Family projects to join our growing team! As the Field Manager you will be responsible for overseeing sub-contractors and installers, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient execution of projects, while having a keen understanding of reading blueprints, and scheduling and delivery of materials. The Field Manager will also have responsibilities that include maintaining a tight grip on project timelines, managing diverse teams, and ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards. This role requires a meticulous approach to detail, effective communication, and adeptness in adapting schedules to evolving project dynamics.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE FIELD MANAGER:
* Oversee and manage the on-site execution of multiple active multi-family projects.
* Collaborate with Project Coordinators, ensuring timely submission of submittals, change orders, and project-related documentation.
* Conduct physical takeoffs of project sites and work with the purchasing team to ensure timely procurement of required materials.
* Work closely with sub-contractors and installation teams, ensuring accurate and timely completion of each project.
* Ensure the adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
* Vet and manage additional material requests, ensuring efficient product control in the field.
* Act as the point of contact for the builders and contractors, maintaining strong communication and addressing any concerns promptly.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE FIELD MANAGER:
* 3-5+ years of experience in project/field management of multi-family projects within the Construction and Building Materials industry.
* Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in project management software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage and coordinate with diverse on-site teams.
* Thorough understanding of safety protocols and quality standards.
* Proven track record of adhering to project timelines and delivering projects successfully.
* Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
