Under the Office of the Chief, Advanced Training Center and general direction of the Special Agent Supervisor (SAS), the Training Officer I (TO I) is responsible for the development, management, monitoring of budgets, coordination of specialized enforcement courses, and, as needed, instructing such courses.
As the statewide training officer, the incumbent will:Independently plan, organize, conduct, and coordinate specialized law enforcement courses for the Division of Law Enforcement.
Uses various training formats including, but not limited to, in-person facilitator-led courses, webinars, voice-over presentations, and video recordings.
Conduct onsite course coordination, contracts with and schedules instructors, and set up classrooms.
Monitor and evaluate course materials and revise as needed in coordination with the SAS.
Review and update POST certified courses every two (2) years.
