About Pure Cycle Pure Cycle Corporation is a diversified water and land development company with its headquarters and operations in Colorado. It’s an exciting time to join the Pure Cycle team as we are rapidly expanding through the Colorado Front Range by developing our 1,000 acre-master planned community called Sky Ranch. From a water/wastewater standpoint we own all our water and wastewater assets, which in most cases we designed, operate, and maintain these assets utilizing our SCADA system and in-house operators and engineers.
Pure Cycle Corporation is seeking qualified candidates to fill an opening for Water System Operator. Working for Pure Cycle Corporation, you will have exposure to operate and maintain a variety of systems and will be provided with an opportunity to learn and grow in all disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities Distribution Operation and Maintenance of Potable, Non-Potable, and Reclaimed Water Pipelines. Operation and Maintenance of Potable Water Tanks, Non-Potable Water Reservoirs, and Reclaimed Water Reservoirs. Utility Line Locating, Meter Reading, Backflow Prevention. Water Line inspections and Sampling.
Treatment Operation and Maintenance of multiple public groundwater systems in Arapahoe and Elbert County. Operation and Maintenance of Groundwater Wells. Process Control Samples and Rounds, Chemical Deliveries, Instrumentation Calibration and Maintenance, Compliance Sampling, Process Control Sampling.
Collections Operation and Maintenance of Sewer Collections systems and Lift stations. Commercial and Residential sewer line verification and inspections. Sewer Line cleaning and jetting.
Reclaimed Water Operation of Reclaimed water systems and inspecting for compliance. Irrigation inspections and operations. Compliance and process control sampling.
Schedule The hours are flexible, working Tuesday-Friday with no nights required.
Applicants must be willing to work On-Call on a rotating basis. One week out of every three weeks.
Skills and Abilities Interpret Gauges and Meters Accurately
Familiarity with Groundwater Wells and ASR
Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives
Familiarity with SCADA systems
Familiarity with CDPHE Water Regulation 11 and associated Rules.
Familiarity with Water Sampling Procedures
Familiarity with Operation of PRV’s, PSV’s, Pumps, Valves, and Fire Hydrants
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
Familiarity with Esri’s suite of GIS based applications.
Ability to perform Basic Math Skills consistent with Water Operations
Ability to think critically and problem solve
Ability to follow Manuals and Procedures
Ability to understand and interpret Engineered Drawings, As-Builts, Maps, and Wiring Diagrams.
Licenses Required Class I- III Distribution License
Class B Water Treatment License with ability to Obtain Class A within 1 year of Hire.
Wastewater/ Collections Licensure a plus.
Advanced Licensure appropriately compensated for.
Clean MVR required.
Experience 4 Years’ experience in Treatment or Distribution at a Public Water System
Mechanical Maintenance Experience preferred.
Construction Experience Preferred
Customer Service Experience Preferred
Electrical and Plumbing Experience Preferred
AMR/AMI Meter Reading System Experience a plus
Education AAS Degree in Water Quality Management Preferred
Courses at RRCC and Emily Griffith a plus
Must Have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Salary Pay Range is $85,000 annually.
