About the Role
As a key member of our team, you'll manage the financial books for a variety of clients across different industries. You'll have the support of our team whenever you need it. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing Accounts Payable: Utilizing software like Bill, Ramp, and QuickBooks Online.
- Handling Accounts Receivable: Tracking retainers and job costs efficiently.
- Overseeing Inventory Management: Using integrated systems like Inflow and SOS Inventory.
- Conducting Sales and Sales Tax Reconciliation: Working with POS systems such as Shopify, Square, and Stripe.
- Setting Up and Managing Payroll: Through platforms like Gusto and QBO.
- Performing Month-End Close: In QuickBooks and Xero, including bank and financial statement reconciliations.
- Providing Customized Financial Reports: Meeting with clients for monthly reviews and offering insightful advice.
- Delivering Exceptional Customer Service: Through effective client management and advisory.
Requirements:
- Strong background in accounting with a solid grasp of US GAAP.
- Proven expertise in QuickBooks Online and Xero, with at least two years of recent hands-on experience in each.
- Skilled in managing POS integrations (e.g., Amazon, PayPal, Shopify, Square, Stripe, Toast).
- Experience in providing full-charge accounting services (accrual and cash basis) to multiple clients.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
- Efficiently handle multiple priorities.
- Proficient in creating and documenting workflows, processes, and communications.
- Comfortable meeting with clients via Zoom or Teams, presenting financial data, and addressing questions directly.
- Located in the United States and able to work from a professional home office.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Accounting Degree.
- CPA License.
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing industries, with a focus on job costing and inventory management.
- Experience with E-commerce, healthcare, or restaurant industries, including managing POS integration and reconciling sales revenue and sales tax reports.
