Job Summary: SUNY Brockport invites applications for a 12-month Instructor position in the Department of Nursing to begin May 1, 2025. Position has responsibility for teaching 12 credits in the fall and spring semester and 9 credits in the summer semester. The Majority of teaching will be in the 100% on-line RN to BSN program but may be asked to teach in person in other BSN programs. Also required is engagement in scholarly activity, and providing service to the department, the University, and the profession.
Minimum Qualifications: - Masters degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting organization.
- Valid NYS professional nursing license.
- A minimum of two years of practice as a Registered Nurse
- Experience teaching in the online milieu.
- Ability to work effectively with students, public, college community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with the development of curriculum.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and information technology systems.
Work Schedule: variable
Salary and Benefits: The Minimum salary for this position is $79,966.
