Job Description

Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a nonprofit located in RTP. This position performs multiple accounting functions and analysis to produce timely and accurate financial reporting for Senior Management and the Board of Directors. This is a full time, direct hire role.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger and related accounts for multiple corporate entities, ensuring accurate documentation and records of all transactions.
• Lead the monthly and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and financial adjustments.
• Reconcile and monitor capital project contracts and payments to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for various corporate entities in collaboration with department heads.
• Prepare accurate and complete financial statements and reports
• Perform general ledger reconciliation and analysis for balance sheet and expense accounts.
• Assist with annual audit and tax return requests.
• Review and approve leases entered into accounting software.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience.
• Previous experience in commercial real estate preferred
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager and commercial property accounting systems is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
